Description

Are you teaching your students about the brain, whether it be through psychology, development, anatomy, or health? If so, this project is for you!

In this research project, students will seek to answer the question, "How do injuries and development impact the brain?" They will be assigned specific health conditions related to the brain (through my included paper strips) and will follow the research log to learn more about their topics. Once they have researched their topics, they will brainstorm a design for a poster to present their findings, using the specific outlined criteria. Students will present their posters, and you can conduct an awesome discussion about how crucial development and safety are for our brain and body's well-being. You could also discuss how to best connect with those affected by brain conditions.

INCLUDED IN THIS PACKET:
1) Instructions sheet, with addressed CCSS standards
2) pre-made strips to assign topics
3) research log with guiding questions
4) source citation sheet
