Description
There are three different brain foldables in this resource that will get your students excited about learning the anatomy of the brain! The first foldable includes the inner structures of the brain (e.g. pituitary gland, thalamus, pons etc.), the second foldable shows the four lobes of the brain and the third foldable shows the different areas of the cerebral cortex (e.g. Broca's Area, Wernicke's Area, motor cortex etc.) Students will be able to record all the descriptions of the structures of the brain on three large graphic organizers (each made up of 2 taped letter-sized pages). This large format provides: 1) enough room to record descriptions 2) clear and fun diagrams to color 3) excellent foldables to use as all-in-one study guides. I drew and designed the images using Adobe Illustrator so they would stay crisp when blown up to a large size for the foldables. EASY ASSEMBLY AND OPTIONS FOR DIFFERENTIATION
Each of these three foldables is created by taping together 2 pieces of 8.5"x11" of paper with Parts 1-2 of the foldable printed on them. This can then either be 1) glued into an interactive notebook or 2) three hole punched and put into a binder. Many different foldable options are provided for differentiation. See the PREVIEW to look at all the options. It comes with an answer key and instructions for assembly. BONUS: The clarity of all the parts also makes it perfect for coloring.
These are superior diagrams of the brain: Diagrams of the inner brain can often of be missing important parts of the brain like the pineal gland, meninges, ventricles and optic chiasm. I have designed my foldables to include these. Diagrams of the cortical areas are often missing like the olfactory cortex, and various association areas like the auditory association area. I have included all the cortices and all of the association areas in my foldable.

Students love that the diagrams are large and that they can easily record all of their descriptions in one place. It is refreshing to use graphic organizers that are so big and easy to see. They can also be coloring activities for further reinforcement. When the foldables are complete, students can use them as handy review tools and study guides before any evaluation.
