Tap icons in the melodic contour, then present the new solfege syllable pitch on the tone ladder and on the music staff. Read the melody with the rhythm and on the staff.

My elementary music students love this little partner game! I included ideas for teaching, as well as printable flashcards for practice.

This resource includes lyrics, beat charts and rhythm reading sheets, as well as melodic phrases with pictures to prepare kinesthetically. After labeling the sound, play a quick solo assessment game to see who is ready to move on to notation. Notation slides include reading the new note on the tone ladder, on the staff, and with rhythmic notation.
