Description
This interactive set of boom cards for personal space is great for social skills interventions for elementary students who have difficulties with boundaries and invade the personal space of others with their own bodies, with objects or use/damage the property of others. Great for therapy interventions, classroom management, social skills groups and teletherapy! Here are the activities that are included:
- Personal space sort: drag and drop the picture to the correct circle (personal space respect or invasion),
- Personal space snapshots: identify (click) if this situation is or isn't a personal space problem and identify emotions felt by others,
- What are they thinking? (perspective-taking). View the picture and scenario and type what the person is thinking in the thought bubble.
- 4 personal space scenes: drag and drop the images to individualize a lesson for your students needs in these four scenes: carpet (sitting), standing in line, classroom (desks) and outdoors.
Students have the option to listen to directions being read to them. A variety of skin colors are represented. There is a home page and arrows for easy navigation.
This deck covers a variety of behavioral and personal space issues, including: hitting, biting, pulling hair, pinching, pushing, throwing objects, kicking objects near others, touching, taking or damaging another person's belongings, having a messy work area, putting your hand in someone's face and more! Teletherapy compatible.
There are animations (moving images) within this deck to maintain student engagement.
