This is a lit log for Book Uncle And Me. The themes of this delightful book by Uma Krishnaswanni are: community activism, politics, government processes, children being empowered to effect change, friendship, and love of books. Book Uncle's motto is "right book for the right person for the right day".

The focus skills of this lit log are: using text to ask/answer questions; recounting stories/determining central message; describing characters; using text to determine meaning of words and phrases; distinguishing point of view, and explaining how illustrations contribute to words in text.
