"Bloom Where You Are Planted" STEM and 5E-Model Plant Life Cycle Unit and Lesson

This resource was a labor of love, focusing on first grade (but with the ability to be modified for other grades) and the life cycle of plants during a Life Science curriculum. Each of the 5-E's (engage, explore, explain, elaborate and evaluate) are present and have numerous activities differentiated with family involvement as well. There are children's books as resources, a glossary of key vocabulary and additional resources for further education. There is also a full lesson plan, complete with an observation sheet for plant growth as well as an interview script for an "interview with a plant" and a summative assessment following the unit.
