What educators are saying

My intervention students were struggling with blends. They could read and identify them in isolation, but needed practice with reading them in text. This was just what I needed.
I love this bundle! I use this for my small groups and it is very engaging. The students enjoy the stories and at my students reading level. I highly recommend this bundle!

    Description

Decodable readers and decodable passages are PERFECT for first grade small group reading activities. These BLENDS AND DIGRAPHS decodables align with the science of reading AND includes a year's worth of printable and DIGITAL phonics booklets, passages, wordlists and decoding assessments.

    What are decodable readers?

Decodable passages and decodable readers are texts where the majority of the words are decodable--or can be sounded out. In these decodable texts, 80-90% of the words are decodable... either using the focus sound for the text or previous sounds already taught. The remaining 10-20% of the words are heart words or sight words that have been previously introduced or are introduced with the current text.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “These decodables have been a great addition to our spelling units which followed the use of these sounds in words. Their fluent reading has improved and had given the children good practice reading these newly introduced sounds.” ~Carol

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I wanted something to help my students see the phonics we were learning in text. This has really helped. We read it together, they read it, and highlight all the correct words and then count them and we check and see who got them all.” ~April
