Black History Research Response Sheets Writing Drawing 39 Famous Figures

This is the perfect set of response sheets to get students writing about their knowledge and understanding of 39 Black History Famous Figures!

I would suggest reading some picture books or biography books about each Famous Figure . Check the library at your school, they will probably have some great options. You can also have your students check out book on these characters to use to complete their research. Then use these writing papers to have students respond to the what they learned from the books you read together.

Tech Tip: If your district has access to Britannica, students can use Britannica to research these famous figures.

*May also be a good send home project for students to complete and then come back to present.

Prompts for EACH FAMOUS FIGURE Include:

• Facts you learned about Ruby Bridge's life. There are three small boxes where students can draw pictures and two different versions of writing lines to choose from.
• Tell about what you learned about Ruby Bridge with one large drawing area and one large writing area.
• Draw a picture of Ruby Bridge hanging out with you. What would you do together?
• Ruby Bridge with a large blank box you could have students draw a picture to respond to a prompt that you decide on.
• A coloring sheet of Ruby Bridge.
• A coloring sheet of Ruby Bridge with a blank quote box. You can prompt students to write a quote she is famous for OR have students be creative and write what you think she would say today.
