Description
This short play is written from the perspective of a young Berry Gordy (Motown Records Founder) and tells how perseverance helped him launch one of the biggest record companies of all time. Students will perform classic motown songs that the whole audience is sure to enjoy! Perfect for Black History Month and for teaching music history. Students will enjoy bringing this play to life!
When my students performed this play for Black History month we created a powerpoint slide to play in the background when the narrators were describing Old Detroit. Please email me if you need any help with bringing your play to life. This play is one where the whole class can be involved!
