Biomimicry Invention Activity (Template, Rubric, & Google Slide Intro)

This activity is a fun way for students to learn how engineers turn to nature to solve problems thru Biomimicry! They are introduced and then guided to invent their own invention by choosing a specimen and researching about it!

Essential Question: How can looking to nature help us solve problems?

Learning Target: I can design a product that helps solve a problem and is inspired by nature through biomimicry.

Students are encouraged to present their invention in a gallery walk! When they hand their photos, split the class up in 2 groups. Group 1 stands by their project and presents, group 2 serve as spectators.
