For each of these 6 biomes, there is:

• a 2 page reading passage
• differentiated reading comprehension questions
• an extension activity
• an answer key

The reading comprehension worksheets address a variety of skills including: context clues, text features, comparing and contrasting, asking and answering questions, defending reasoning, main idea, cause and effect, and more.

2 sets of reading comprehension questions are provided for each habitat to help make differentiation easy on you.

• The first set of questions is scaffolded - it tells students what section of the reading passage the answer can be found, and it also provides a sentence starter to help students write a complete sentence.
• The second set of questions does not include any scaffolding.

These activities are self-explanatory and could be completed by students independently in a distance learning packet.
