Description

"Bigger, Stronger, Faster*" follows Director Christopher Bell's journey to understand Steroid use and fascination in America. It is rated PG-13 for some mild language. My students have thoroughly enjoyed this documentary and I feel like it fairly explores both sides of the performance enhancing drug debate.

I purchased this on Amazon Prime Video for $12.99 so I don't have to worry about paying for it again. It can be rented from Prime for $2.99. You can find pieces of this documentary on Youtube, but I don't find that to be a reliable source. It seems like it gets taken down as quickly as it's put up.

What do you get? A 2 page document for your students to complete while watching the documentary "Bigger, Stronger, Faster*" There is a chart for students to organize information on the 3 performance enhancing drugs referenced throughout this documentary, 9 guided questions (that follow the order of the movie), and 6 discussion questions that are opinion based. I included an answer key for the first part of the worksheet, but the discussion questions are opinion-based. I have included both .pdf and .doc versions of this assignment in case you want to make some changes.

How can you use it? Students should use this to guide them through viewing this documentary. I would instruct them to read through the discussion questions before watching so they can be thinking about how they want to answer them. After the movie, letting the class debate their responses to these questions will lead to some amazing discussions.
