I loved this resource and i found it to be very engaging for my students. They loved it! Great for special education!

Description

"It's Big and it's mine and its stuck on the vine!"

These stick puppets were made as a companion to the book "Big Pumpkin". My kids love to make stick puppets for retelling stories. This book is one of my all time favorites!

Story retelling Puppets:

Kids will color and cut out the puppets and use them for retelling the story. The big pumpkin can be glued to a brown lunch sack as a story retelling prop. The characters can be stored inside when the kids are finished.

Class Book: "Big Pumpkin"

I have also included a class book template page and book cover for making a class book. The kids draw themselves pulling on the big pumpkin vine. Copy the book cover in color and laminate. Then add the kids pictures and bind. The kids will enjoy reading this book over and over all through the school year.

Magnetic Board Story Retelling Pieces:

I have also included a set of characters in color for the teacher to copy and laminate for use on a magnet or felt board for whole group retelling.

As you read the story add the characters to the magnetic board...your kids will eat this up!!!!

Afterwards the kids can retell the story during Learning Centers and then take them home to share the story retelling with their parents.
