Beginning of Course Activity: Alien Archeology

Students will pretend to be Alien Archeologists from the future, who are examining the remains of an ancient civilization (aka: the classroom). Students will use the provided worksheet to lead them in filling out with their observations and to draw conclusions about their fellow students and the teacher. Then, the students will complete "part 2," taking their observations and applying them to what it means to be a historian.

This lesson will prepare students for a conversation about:
