Description

Beatles Lyrics Figurative Language

Fun! This is a real hit with kids and one of my best sellers!

Play some Beatles tunes prior to giving your students these lyrics. They have to identify each example as a hyperbole, personification, simile or metaphor.

Activity sheets include one line from the songs. Students have to identify the figurative speech each one is.

You'll have kids rocking and rolling all day long! This is one lesson they won't forget!

Good for grades 5 and up.
List of songs lyrics used are: Dear Prudence, All You Need is Love, Across the Universe, Tomorrow Never Knows, Hard Day's Night, Happiness is a Warm Gun, Eight Days a Week, Lady Madonna, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, The Long and Winding Road.

I'm a teacher/author and offer Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, American History, Novel Packets, Grammar, Back to School, Holidays, Writing, Poetry, Spelling, Teacher forms products and more!
