Sample Game Instructions: Slam Dunk!

  • Choose the symbol and term cards you need for your specific group of students.
  • Hide the basketball cards around your studio, but put the backboard cards in plain view.
  • Have a”slam dunk! basketball search” with your students to collect all of the basketball cards.
  • As each basketball card is collected, the student can match it to the correct term by saying “Slam dunk!” and “dunking” the ball into the hoop.
  • Students could also collect all the basketballs, then play a quick group-wide matching game with the cards.
  • To increase the competition, divide your students into two teams, then have two separate basketball searches and matching games.
  • The group who finishes first wins!
