How to Use
Get outside the classroom and search for objects that fit the given adjectives (touch & sight adjectives). Then look through books and texts to learn and review a different set of adjectives (character & setting).
Activity is scaffolded with a small picture of each adjective to support understanding. Students can use the checkbox to show they found something "shiny" or "smooth." Then they can write the corresponding noun (object, character or setting) next to it (ie. shiny light, smooth rock).
Review and check understanding using the corresponding cloze sentences worksheets.
Extension Ideas
- work together to form basic sentences using the found nouns and given adjectives
The smooth rock is on the ground.
