What's Included?
This huge resource includes conceptual, procedural and relational knowledge lessons. Students will learn about bar graphs and picture graphs. They'll practice analyzing the data by answering simple put-together, take-apart, and compare problems using the information presented in the graph.
Conceptual Lesson
I've included a conceptual lesson that takes the students through graphing by creating a whole class graph about "How We Get to School"!
Procedural Lesson
When students are ready for procedural problems, there will be 2 teacher samples to model bar graphs and picture graphs. Students will get to practice creating
- 2 bar graphs (vertically and horizontally)
- 2 picture graphs
Relational Knowledge Activity
Real-world application practice! Students will apply their learning with a relational knowledge activity.
Students will:
- create their own graphs
- conducting a survey
- collecting data
- graphing the results
- analyzing the data
It's the perfect way to apply their graphing knowledge.
