This financial literacy mini unit on balancing budgets includes a reading passage, a foldable concept map for note taking, a balancing budgets math center activity, and a test practice page with standardized test style questions. This unit is designed so that on-level fifth grade students can work on this material independent of the teacher, but will also work great as direct teach and math center material.
