Back-to-School Word Wall

The word wall I offer here is the one I used in my second grade classroom for many years. 215 words are included. They range from the phonetically regular one syllable - no, see, it - to the phonetically irregular multisyllabic - especially, quickly, answer. My students requested the inclusion of the holidays Christmas and Halloween as well as one of their favorite places to eat - McDonald�s. I used the first three Fry Lists of most frequently used words as a basis for my selections, but I also took into account the requests my students made for words they needed.
