Description

Back to School Task Card Centers include 7 Learning Centers across all subject areas: math, science, social studies, language arts, writing, art, and technology.

Different options for setting up and effectively using and monitoring centers in the classroom are provided with the Using Center guide. There are also center labels for each subject (see preview) and a center checklist to monitor student completion. Task cards for each center provide student-friendly directions and a material list for teachers. Materials and set-up are minimal.

Students will enjoy exploring the following centers:

Math: Place Value Number Hunt - Students will search around the room for numbers and use the Place Value Chart to insert the numbers found.

Science: Sensory Prediction Boxes - Students will use their senses to predict objects in the boxes and complete observations and predictions on the Sensory Prediction Box Worksheet.

Social Studies: School Now and Then - Students will research on the Internet school compared to the 1800s to today. They will list the differences on the School Now and Then Worksheet.

Language Arts: Letter Detective - Students hunt around the room for objects that begin with each letter of the alphabet and write down on the Letter Detective worksheet.

Writing: Goals for School - Students will use the prompts to write about their goals for school this year and complete on the Goals for School Worksheet.

Art: Name Art - Students will complete a colorful artwork of their name. (example included)

Technology: All About Me Collage - Students will use the Clip Art feature in Word to create a collage about their interests and life. (example included)
