Description
Students create a digital tour of their new school. Great for freshmen or first year middle school students who are new to the building!
Take students around the school and have them photograph the main parts of the campus: cafeteria, nurse's office, band room, etc. Students use the "snapshot" tool on Google slides or upload the pictures from their devices. It's easy and fun! Comes with easy to follow in-document instructions for the kids!
Great collaborative activity, too! Students just need Google accounts to open the notebook (gmail).
I do this with my homeroom students at the beginning of the year and they love it. It gives them a chance to learn where everything is and feel more comfortable in the new building. It's also great for having students practice some tech skills and collaborate in pairs or groups.
Who needs tired old ice-breakers when students can dive right into a project together?
