    Description

Upper level students need to be able to read critically and for information. This assignment has them reading a 6 page, professional journal article from the National Institute of Justice and answering 12 higher level thinking questions that explains a study done to answer the question “What is the effect of crime shows on jurors? “ This activity could be done in class, as a homework assignment or an online assignment. Due to the higher reading level of the information, I have found that students typically need at least 1 hour to complete. This activity could be adapted to online by having the students post their thoughts. This could also be used for a sub plan.

    Included in the zip file:

    • Printable 6 page article in PDF
    • Printable and editable Worksheets (12-questions) and key in Word.doc
    • Ready to print worksheets and key
    • Teaching instructions and tips for extension

PDF separate so buyer can digitize for on-line activity.
