BUILD A BUG PROJECT

It's time to have fun in your science class. Administrators are on your case about doing more writing. You want to use technology, artistic and story creativity. You need to teach the concepts of insect identification, habitat, reproduction, and metabolism. This project does it all. Students design their own insect. They create a story telling how (as a great scientist) they discovered the new species. The story contains all of the facets of the insects physiology and lifestyle. It is organized, step-by-step to produce a well written research paper. Student designed pictures, and finally a model of the insect will be produced. As much as you want, the project may be done in class, as labs, or as a home work. It's a great interest building and exciting learning experience.
