Description

Creative project to teach students about product packaging and branding. Students will develop a brand and package for a raw egg that is aesthetic, branded, and protects the 'product'. Then for an activity, you can put an egg in each and drop them from a height.

This was the best activity I did with my grade 11s!

Business Planning and Outline:

  1. Product Development:
    • Describe the purpose of the product (a single fresh, raw egg).
    • Brainstorm and select the best product name.
    • Explain the Unique Selling Point (USP) and how it will penetrate the crowded market.
  2. Positioning:
    • Identify advertising media.
    • Define the target market and how it will be reflected in the packaging.

  1. Brand and Logo:
    • Develop a logo considering color, font, images, symbols, and patterns.
    • Create a catchy slogan.

  1. Package Design:
    • Describe/show the color scheme referencing packaging lessons.
    • Utilize packaging strategies (e.g., sustainability, protection) and specify three.
    • List materials and consider inclusion of logo, slogan, messages, and ingredients.
    • Provide an outline of packaging design, including specific colors, materials, and important details.
