Description

Let's set the scene for this imaginative and engaging Aztecs Project:

The year is 1500 and your students come across a “Help Wanted” ad in the Classified section. Tenochtitlan Tours is in need of an experienced, knowledgeable and articulate tour guide. In lieu of a formal interview, Tenochtitlan Tours has requested that job candidates submit an original travel brochure. The brochure will include images and descriptions of the culture and tourist destinations in Tenochtitlan. The creator of the most informative and interesting brochure will be hired as a tour guide for Tenochtitlan Tours.

Students will explore all that the ancient city of Tenochtitlan had to offer and present their findings in a creative, visual format. Areas of exploration include food, religion, markets and social structure. With an approximate teaching timeframe of one week, this Aztecs Project is bound to keep students focused and keep to get that job!

This Tenochtitlan Project includes:

✓ A detailed explanation of the project
✓ A list of required topics
✓ Step-by-step directions to complete the project
✓ Rubric
✓ Four brochure templates
