Looking for a complete unit to teach Indigenous Civilizations of the Americas? This is it! My standards-based unit contains everything you need to guide your students to a deeper understanding of how the civilizations of early North and South America expanded and advanced before European exploration. Along the way, they will practice important map skills, engage in rich discussions, and tackle written responses.
This will be a series of units, to include:
- Indigenous Civilizations of the Americas
- Exploration of the Americas
- The Road to the American Revolution
- Industrialization and Urbanization of the United States

Each unit was written with the understanding that teachers already have resources and textbooks at their disposal, but that there needs to be a better way to tie everything together. The workstation days in my Suggested Pacing were designed to allow ample time for your current resources, and I included some suggestions as well. If you are new to teaching, this is the perfect resource for you! There are several pages of tips and embedded PD throughout the unit.
