Description

Self-care culture has become so toxic these days, but the basic principles of teaching people to be aware of their current state and how they can get to a place of regulation and healing and mindfulness is still essential! That’s why I coined the term “Aware Care” and created this resource to help!

  • Aware Care is all about being aware (mindful) of where we are emotionally and relationally, finding ways to regulate our bodies and minds, and entering into relationship with others in a kinder way!
  • Aware care is the practice of nurturing and tending to oneself. When we engage in aware care, we send a clear message to ourselves and others that we are worth the investment.
  • Aware care embodies a compassionate approach to self-treatment. To practice aware care, we must treat ourselves kindly and attend to our own needs, enabling us to better support those around us.
  • Aware care is all about realizing that sometimes we need help caring for ourselves and showing up to help others in that same journey.

Who Can Benefit from this Aware Care Journal?

This resource is tailored for individuals committed to investing in themselves and those in their circle:

  • Teachers can utilize it for personal aware care throughout the school year or during summer breaks to rejuvenate.
  • Educators and counselors can use this journal as a resource to teach students about aware care, guiding them to invest in their own well-being.
  • Therapists and social workers can employ it as a tool to discuss aware care with vulnerable populations, particularly children burdened with undue responsibilities.
  • School administrators, including principals, can apply this journal for their own care journey or to facilitate conversations with teachers on aware care to enhance student support.

How Does this Resource Promote Aware Care?

  • Aware Care Activities: A list of aware care activities enhances your aware care routine. Draw a card from the box whenever you seek inspired care for yourself.

No matter who you are or what you aim to achieve, we hope this serves as a source of assistance and healing on your journey towards aware care.
