Author's purpose can be a tricky skill. It is tested in both common core and in standardized tests as well. It works beautifully to teach author's purpose and genre together. Included in this great set are 20 TASK CARDS and 2 posters that can be used in the classroom or you could add to their interactive reading notebook. They are great to reduce in size and use as bookmarks as well. The task cards are a blend of multiple choice and essay style questions. This helps to let students practice this skill for standardized tests and also for common core assessments. Of all my TASK CARDS this set is a favorite among my students. They love using these during study buddy time.
