Description

Engaging activities for teaching author’s point of view are now at your fingertips! Pique your students’ interest and get them thinking critically about authors’ points of view using two high-interest nonfiction passages in this comprehensive all-in-one resource. Students will read two texts, or paired passages, with opposing viewpoints on the topic of technology to identify each author’s point of view while formulating their own opinion to the question- Is technology helpful or harmful to students?

Each passage includes facts and opinions that support the author’s point of view. The first passage supports the use of technology while the second passage does not. Students will love weighing the pros and cons of this topic and debating their stance with their peers. Students will also analyze how the photos in the articles support the author's viewpoint.
