- BILINGUAL: We have updated our morning work so it now comes in both English and Spanish! Both versions are available as Google Slides as well.
- NEW GRAPHICS: We also updated each month with new graphics and picture answer keys.
- MULTIPLE HEADINGS: Due to popular request, we have now included different headings for each month. You can choose to have the header say August, or if you teach the skills in different months (for example, in Australia, they do not start school in August/September) we include an optional generic heading: Morning Work. Now you can use these activities in pre-k and first grade, or kindergarten review anytime throughout the year!
August seat work for kindergarten is very basic. My goal is simply to introduce students to the routine of these worksheets and build their confidence and independence.
I do not have my students trace letters for the first month because I have not taught them correct directionality for forming letters. Students match letters this month instead.
Our morning work increases in difficulty as the year progresses. If you don’t see a particular standard or skill addressed in this packet, it is most likely included in a different month’s seat work.

I print these and keep them on my front board for the entire month.
This makes it so easy to have your standards posted each day, which also helps students understand and take ownership of their academic goals.
