Description

In this engaging Athens and Sparta activity, students are introduced to major differences between the Greek city-states of Athens and Sparta by examining a first-person perspective and completing a 5-step organizer.

☆ ☆ This engaging Athens vs Sparta resource is a great supplement to my best-selling Ancient Greece activities unit located here bundle!

Students learn about the major differences in government and learn the workings of the Athenian Boule, Ekklesia, and Dikasteria as well as the Spartan Apella and Gerousia. Students also learn how each society prospered, how they valued different things, and how they treated those within their domain. After reading, students complete a 5-step organizer to focus on the major differences between Athens and Sparta. Students complete a Step 1, 2, and 3 organizer on each Athens and Sparta to learn their major differences, then complete Step 4 and 5 to compare the two societies.
