Description
This worksheet consists of ten problems for finding horizontal, vertical, and oblique asymptotes of rational functions. Answer key is included. This worksheet goes along effectively with my previous post on 'Asymptotes' step-by-step procedures to find the asymptotes.
I have been teaching pre-calculus for many years now and I found this very effective even with the weak students in my class.Having the hand-out aside, they are able to solve these problems and after successfully solving few problems they are able to solve without looking at the hand-out. After finding each asymptotes, I graph these functions using online graphing calculator and project on the board. This makes more sense of the concept to the whole class.
