What educators are saying

My students enjoyed researching their assigned object. I appreciated the addition of objects other than planets.

Looking for a presentation style project to give your students concerning planets and their moons? This file contains 16 topic choices of planets, moons, dwarf planets, and exoplanets:

Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Europa
Saturn
Titan
Uranus
Neptune
Pluto
Eris
Ceres
Gliese 667 Cc

Task: Research and become an expert on a particular planet, moon, or exoplanet. Share your findings with the class through a presentation.

This file includes the directions handout I give students. They either pick or are assigned a planet, moon, or exoplanet to research. Each student will be researching the same information for their particular object.
Topics Include:
-History
-Numerical Data
-Composition
-Characteristics
-How Do We Know?
-Miscellaneous

Within each of these categories, students are asked 5-10 specific questions. Students then compile all of their info into a presentation to give the class. A guided notes packet is included (one page for each object presented) for the audience to fill out as each presentation is given.

The zip file contains pdf and editable word documents.
