Assessment - All Levels: Spanish Spelling Quiz (with Bonus Definitions/Alphabet)

At the beginning of each thematic unit, (approximately 1-week after distributing abridged vocabulary list), I administer a 15-minute spelling quiz. Students study the spelling and phonetics of our 25-word abridged list in preparation for the quiz comprised of 20-words, written bonus (definitions), and oral bonus (alphabet). This resource's templates include "A" and "B" quiz versions, teacher's key with instructions, and oral bonus note page. Students appreciate the predictability and consistency of one spelling quiz per unit. As a result, we reinforce the Spanish alphabet, improve our pronunciation, and acquire new vocabulary.
