Assembly Line and Cottage Industry Activity

This tasty lesson plan helps students experience the advantages and disadvantages of the assembly line and compare the assembly line to the cottage industry method of producing goods.

Using edible ingredients students create cookies with smiley faces using both methods, compare their results, and use their experience to understand the advantages and disadvantages of the assembly line. It is an excellent addition to any science or history class!
