Artist Inspired Lessons for Valentine's Day (8 Elementary Art Lessons)

Celebrate Valentine's Day with this bundle of elementary art lessons and teach your Kindergarten through 5th grade art students about Wayne Thiebaud, Jim Dine, Piet Mondrian, Gustav Klimt, Bridget Riley, Romero Britto, Henri Matisse and the Japanese art of Notan. These elementary art lesson plans will cover 2-3 weeks of planning. The students will learn some fun facts about the artist and be engaged in an art critique of artists' work. The PowerPoint slides and/or PDF slides includes artist biography, art critique, art vocabulary (elements of art and principles of design), lesson objectives (I can statements), materials needed, step-by-step directions, handout for each lesson and a YouTube video art tutorial for each lesson.
