What educators are saying
Description
Carryover of articulation is made easy with these quick to use handouts for home and the classroom. I use these handouts to explain the early steps of learning how to say a sound and reinforce what we are doing in therapy. In this huge product is the following handouts that include the sounds b, p, m, n, t, d, h, w, k, g, f, v, s, z, sh, ch, j (dz), th, r and l
Steps in learning to say a sound
This sheet has a clear visual to show the steps needed to learn how to say a sound in isolation all the way through to generalising in conversation. I use this sheet as a handout for parents, teachers or aides to help them understand the therapy process and how we step up to different levels as we go.
How to say a speech sound- 20 sheets
These sheets give prompts on how to elicit a sound in isolation and the mouth is used to achieve the sound. Each sheet has the sound, a picture to represent this, a speaker to indicate if the sound is voice or voiceless and handy tips to make learning to say the sound easier. I give this to parent, teachers and aides each time we start a new sound.
I can say my speech sound- 20 sheets (Also included in an Easel Activity)
These sheets are a great reinforcer for students that are at the first level of saying sounds in isolation. The sheets have many opportunities to practice a sound while giving the students a reward to colour, stamp or dot a sound after each practice. I use these in therapy sessions or as homework sheets
Help me say my sounds- Wristbands- 40 sheets
These wristbands come in colour or black and white with 4 wristbands to a page. My students cut out a wristband and colour it in (if black and white) and wear it in a therapy session as reminder of what we are working on or let them wear it when they leave to prompt them outside the therapy room
Help me say: Cue cards- 20 sheets
These cards come 4 to a page so easy to print and cut out. These are pocket sized so students can have them on hand as reminders about how to say their sound or a great size to stick on a desk in the classroom as a visual reminder for teachers/aides to prompt the student to say their speech sound. The cue cards have the mouth visual and prompts to elicit the sound so different people can help the student practice.
