Description

2 Art lessons where Japanese culture was the inspiration. Lesson 1 focuses on creating a paper image using Symmetry and "Notan" (Light and Dark in Japanese culture). Lesson 2 is a relief print lesson linked to the Japanese "MON" family crest. The Artist Jane Davies is also referenced for her creative backgrounds which pupils create to print onto. Includes explanation of relief printing with step by step instructions, formal and informal printing, pupil examples, clear Learning Objectives and Success Criteria.
