Description
Beginning with a PowerPoint, students will learn about the often colorful patterned artwork of the Southwestern Native Americans and see how it still influences art in the region today. Then students will learn about the climate of the region and the vegetation that can grow there.
Then they will draw their own succulent or cacti still life and color them with a unique mix of materials (see materials list below)!
Included in this package: Teacher directions with pictures, student project samples, PowerPoint presentation with all the background needed, a succulent drawing handout, and an instructional video that you can use to help your students with their drawings!
Materials:
- Watercolor Paper (9”x12”)
- Pencil and eraser
- Sharpie Marker
- Oil Pastels
- Baby Oil
- Cotton Swabs
- Watercolor Paints (preferably liquid watercolor)
