Description
To begin with students will watch a short animated montage video featuring the artwork of the father of Op art himself - Victor Vasarely. Then they will see a variety of Op art images and other visual optical illusions in the included PowerPoint. The PowerPoint also briefly talks about the beginnings of Op art and how optical illusions can be made.
Afterwards students will create an Op art inspired paper weaving in which they will attempt to create the illusion of space on a 2D surface.
Included in this package: Teacher directions with visuals, project samples, step-by-step visual directions, a warp cut schematic handout, a link to the video, and the PowerPoint presentation.

- Construction Paper (various colors)
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Ruler
