Description

Looking for an engaging, no-prep activity to practice finding the area of irregular figures? For each level of this fun digital and print activity, students will find the area of 6 composite/irregular figures.

There are 3 different levels of this activity included:

  • Level 1: Includes basic problems with rectangles, triangles, and trapezoids (although all of the trapezoids can be solved by breaking them down into rectangles and triangles if you haven't covered trapezoids)
  • Level 2: Includes the same shapes as Level 1, but the figures are a little more challenging
  • Level 3: Includes rectangles, triangles, trapezoids, circles, semicircles, and quarter-circles.

Please note that the directions instruct students to use 3.14 for pi for the circles. Please view the preview file to see make sure that this activity is appropriate for your students.
