Description

Need a fun way to practice Area and Perimeter? Project the slide and your students will go crazy to find the areas, perimeters, or missing sides of over 30 different shapes. 35 Bingo Cards included!

Be sure to click on the video preview above to check out this Bingo game!

Students will:

multiply to find area

add to find the perimeter or the sum of 2 areas or perimeters

subtract to find the difference between 2 areas or perimeters

add and subtract to find missing sides in a given shape

My students beg to play, and while playing they'll do more math operations in this simple game than they would on any worksheet. Instructions for Bingo included. After playing Bingo once a few days later we reviewed again by racing to find answers. Both ways are a great review of Area and Perimeter!

These were perfect for my After- School Tutoring group. Now, I'm using them as a quick review for my 5th graders. Great resource. Easy to use.

Multiply side lengths to find areas of rectangles with whole-number side lengths in the context of solving real world and mathematical problems, and represent whole-number products as rectangular areas in mathematical reasoning.
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
