Applications of Quadratic Functions in Algebra 1 Common Core

Tab 1 includes 4 questions on identifying the following key features of quadratics:

- Vertex

- Axis of symmetry

- Domain in either set builder notation or interval notation

- Range in either set builder notation or interval notation

- Starting height of the quadratic function given the context of the problem

- Time it takes for the object to hit the ground (finding roots/zeros/x-intercepts)

Tab 2 and 3 include 4 questions on a quadratic function scenario:

- all 4 questions are multiple choice questions that mirror Regents like exam questions

- Question 1: Time it takes to hit the ground

- Question 2: Reasonable Domain

- Question 3: pertains to the y-intercepts

- Question 4: Reasonable Range
