Reinforce Spanish vocabulary relating to El Año Nuevo (New Year / New Year's Eve) with beginning Spanish students with this 2 puzzle pack. Use it as homework, an in-class activity, an assignment for a substitute, or as something in your ‘bag of tricks’ for early finishers.

⭐ VOCABULARY: A half-page vocabulary list is provided and includes 24 New Year-themed vocabulary words: reloj, viejo, nuevo, año, próspero, celebrar, propósito, confeti, medianoche, Nochevieja, celebración, diciembre, cantar, fiesta, bailar, enero, pasado, futuro, tiempo, globo, ropa elegante, invitación, treinta y uno, y primero.

⭐ WORD SEARCH PUZZLE: To solve the Word Search puzzle, students find all the words from the Word Bank (listed on the sheet). Words can be vertical, horizontal, diagonal, forward or backward. Words can also share letters.

⭐ CROSSWORD PUZZLE: To complete the Crossword puzzle, students write the Spanish equivalent to English words to work out the "clues" for the crossword puzzle. They can use the Word Bank to help with spelling reinforcement. Once the clues are completed, students then write Spanish words into the puzzle.

Answer sheets are provided. Seven pages are included in the download - two puzzles, two answer sheets, a half-page vocabulary list, a cover page, and an instructions sheet for teacher reference.
