Description

Animal Unit

This packet covers both vertebrate and invertebrate animals. There are worksheets, Montessori style sorting cards, and cut and paste activities.

Some of the topics covered and activities include:

Body Coverings

• Notebook page and sorting cards (feathers, fur, scales or skin) (and a tracing page for younger learners)

The 5 types of animals and their characteristics

• Vertebrates vs. Invertebrates notebook page

• Vertebrates vs. Invertebrates worksheet

• Hand-out with the basic animal characteristics for the fish, amphibian, reptile, bird, mammals

• A cut and paste activity (cut and paste the pictures of the fish, amphibian, reptile, bird, mammals onto a page.)
