What educators are saying

I used this as an enhancement activity in my third grade geometry unit. The kids really enjoyed the project and the task cards really helped me see which students understood the concepts.
My students did this activity when a sub was with them, they were able to follow the directions and complete with no problems. Turned out good.

    Description

Three sets of Geometry hands on activities for fourth graders to explore types of angles and identifying acute, straight, obtuse, and right angle. These geometry activities are perfect to review or introduce the different type of angles.

➡️ It includes one sets of 40 task cards for identifying acute, straight, right, and obtuse angles in photographs.

➡️ The second set of task cards contains each lesson and a student handout with questions reviewing symmetry, types of angles, identifying triangles by angles, and shapes.

➡️ The third activity involves students completing a two-dimensional geometry art project while reviewing geometric vocabulary words such as points, lines, line segments, rays, and angles.

Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.
Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.
Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.
