Description

This lab is for students to use in a remote setting.

How does the angle of the Sun’s rays affect the rate of heating?

Angle of insolation refers to how high the Sun is over the horizon. In this activity you will describe the relationship between temperature and the angle of insolation and how it relates to time of day, latitude, and seasons.

It includes a Google slide presentation with a description of the lab, text boxes for the students to enter data and type answers to questions and a graph for students to plot their data.

It also includes an .mp4 video to upload to your learning platform for the students to watch and record data. There are minute markers in the videos so the students know when to take a reading.

Students can fast forward and rewind the video if needed.
