Anger Management Tool Kit

This is an anger management tool kit to help you teach your students appropriate ways to handle and express anger. It is designed to give you 6 CBT skills (identifying angry triggers, reducing stress, positive self talk, identifying feelings, relaxation techniques, and problem solving). It includes the following worksheets:

Anger management rating scale: includes the printable rating scale cards as well as instructions on how to make it. This is a great portable tool to give to children who have a hard time identifying how much anger they feel, who can't vocalize how mad they feel once they become angry, or who switch their anger on and off like a light switch (one min calm, the next fuming mad).

Stress Management worksheet: you can either give this sheet as homework after teaching your kid's about stress, or use it during the lesson and have them interview their classmates instead of an adult.

Positive self talk worksheet: A worksheet that has kids identify their own achievements, as well as learning about positive role models.

Feelings Journal: This can again be given as homework, or you can record feelings as a class at the end of every day. It is a good way to track and identify anger triggers.

Relaxation worksheet and homework assignment: Teach your students about breathing techniques and mental images and then have them complete these two worksheets to reinforce what they just learned.

Problem solving worksheet: Brainstorm how to problem solve and compromise when in an argument with a friend.

Anger Cuing Worksheet: Help your students identify hostile, neutral, and friendly cues. This will help them learn what is and isn't an anger provoking situation
