What educators are saying

This resource helped my student better understand the timing of when things happened in Ancient Rome - thank you!
An easy and engaging activity for students to learn about Roman Emperors. It was a great way to get students up and moving and enhance their understanding of Ancient Rome.

Description

In this engaging Roman Emperors resource, students create a timeline where they focus on 7 of the best (and the worst) Roman Emperors in Ancient Rome to understand the achievements of the Roman Emperors. Students will navigate the 7 emperor stations to learn about the achievements and failings of Octavian (Augustus), Nero, Commodus, Trajan, Hadrian, Diocletian, and Constantine. Upon reading the stations, students will place the emperors and their information on their timelines.

Be sure to instruct students to follow the timeline carefully so they put the correct emperors in the correct location! Students should place several relevant facts about each emperor in their correct box (3-5 should suffice). Your students will be shocked when they read some of the actions committed by a few of these guys!

This resource includes a paper in-class version and a 1:1 Google compatible version to be used in conjunction with Google Classroom. Just follow the included instructions for how to access the Google version, then share the resource through Google or assign via Google Classroom. This will allow students to type directly into the document!
